Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp (Canadian actress) is well-known for her lead roles in countless television series, but also her impressive performances in films. There is a huge fanbase in American as well as Canadian TV. When Emily was 12 she became attracted to acting when she visited her older sister Katie at the location of one of her movies. When she realized her love for acting she started taking acting classes, and then going for auditions. Her first audition was for commercials however, she was eventually cast as a child actor in the Canadian TV horror series Are You Scared of Darkness? where she was seen only in one scene, without any dialog. In the year 15 she got her big break when she became part of the WB program Glory Days. Emily's performance in Glory Days, a show on WB, which was canceled 9 episodes later, drew the attention of and landed Greg Berlanti from Dawson's Creek. Emily has also been a professional dancer, a photographer and was named one of Teen's top 20 actors. In Maxim's Hot 100 2014 list ranked Emily at 51.
