Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in Puy-de-Domme France on 8 August 1976. She was oldest among four kids. Her parents a dental surgeon and teacher recognized and encouraged her passion for theatre and drama at an early age, which was more important than a desire to become a primatologist thanks to her love of monkeys. As a young woman, her rise to stardom was rapid and marked with initial recognition and success. When she finished her education She was a part of the French television show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers which was sponsored by Canal+. She won the Best Young Actress award at Beziers Festival of Young Actors and began her acting career. Tautou was raised in an Catholic family and attended religious services, despite having was a student at the Institut Catholique de Paris. She pursued a career in modeling alongside her acting career and is the model for L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel frequently referred to as the Chanel Muse. She also has a serious passion for photography. She recently produced an exhibition of her work for the Arles Festival, titled Superficial. Her photography is focused on famous people, the media and press that scrutinised her following her rise to fame with Amelie. There are also numerous photographs of her self. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and global fame after her debut role in the role of Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie is undoubtedly a huge box office smash internationally and has been lauded at numerous award events around the globe. The film is still the most successful French film in the US. The film's success has led to Tautou being cast in a range of roles, ranging from British dramas like Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
