Annet Mahendru

Mahendru is a mother of Russian origin who is born in Afghanistan. She is fluent with German Russian and English and also speaks French Persian and Hindi. Annet Mahendru, born in India to her Russian father and an Indian mother, speaks fluently of both Indian and Russian. The choreographed show she performed at age 11 which aired on German television, transformed her into an Russian dancer and snow maiden. After graduating of New York's top high school, she earned her bachelor's in English degree from St. John's University. She studied improvisation and comedy in the Groundlings School after leaving HB Studio. She was raised in Kabul Afghanistan by a Hindu/Indian father Ghanshan Mahendru and Russian-speaking mom Olga. The family moved from Afghanistan to East Meadow New York, along with her father, when she was 13 years old. She is a star with Matthew Rhys and Keri Russel on FX's The Americans. The Americans' Nina Sergeevna Krilova was the most well-known character. Her recurring appearance on The Following on Fox, The Following and NBC's The Blacklist.
