Ashford's Broadway return will take place in the month of March 2023, when he plays alongside Josh Groban for the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. Thomas Kail as director and Jeffrey Seller as producer will be the creative team for the show. Ashford's latest role was as Paula Jones on Ryan Murphy FX's American Crime Story Impeachment. It is based upon the National scandal that featured Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky, as well as Linda Tripp. Her two-season stint on the CBS comedy B Positive was her first big part. The series was created by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. It also featured Ben Vereen and Hector Elizondo. Additional Broadway performances include Sunday in the Park with George Wicked Legally Blonde and her first role as Lauren In Kinky Boots a performance for which she also received a Tony Award nomination. Born and raised in Denver Ashford currently splits the time in Los Angeles and New York.
